
In my on-going effort to ensure that nobody is ever wrong about anything ever again ever, I'll be highlighting dramatically wrong predictions in the critical arts.
The inaugural entry in the series goes to Lauren Murphy of Entertainment.ie, who incorrectly wrote that:
'The Fame''s main problem is an obvious and fundamental one: it's simply too homogenous to have any huge significance on the musical landscape.
Unfortunately for Lauren, while I think her criticisms of the album are largely valid (though she doesn't give enough credit to just how funky a record it is), The Fame went on to profoundly alter the pop music landscape and Lady Gaga became the biggest pop star on the planet.
